WOW!
All I can say is "wow". I had no idea the amount of people affected by sex trafficking.I went to the movie "Nafarious" the other day to check out what this whole "IJM" or "International Justice Mission" thing was about. It was incredible. The amount of information I received from the short amount of time I was there. I couldn't stay. My heart broke for these people stuck in slavery.
IJM put on a benefit dance that would raise money for the people stuck in sex slavery. It was INCREDIBLE! I learned so much while watching awesome performances such as, dancing, spoken word, singing, and stories read from freed slaves here in Wisconsin! It's insane that I learned Wisconsin has a lot of sex trafficking. I also learned that the super-bowl has so much sex trafficking.
This blows my mind!
The benefit was put on very well! They shared so much information that is important for more people to be aware of.
I was so blind to this subject and I am so glad that I was able to take time to listen to the reality of the world.
A shout out goes to those involved! It was incredible.

ReplyDeleteHearing how going to this event has affected you really makes me wish I would have been able to go. It is amazing how much the performance can touch a person and show currents issues. I agree that it is important to be aware of the issue about sex trafficking and people should try to get educated and learn about this problem.
