I started to read this blog and my first reaction was anger.
The blogger was just bashing on MGMT's new album "Celebration", not necessarily reviewing it in the best way. The blogger surprised me, when the end of his paragraph made my thoughts do a complete 180.
The blogger definitely got my attention and I was very please by what he had to say. He pointed out that it is not what has been done in the past or what other bloggers say, it's about you and the music.
It is enjoyable to read about how the blogger truly listened to MGMT and really depicted what made their new album so good. He points out the instruments used and the influences that MGMT may have had. He merely states that different influences come into aspect at different times, so it is okay that MGMT changed the way that they sound in this album and they should not have to apologize for it.
After reading this blog entry and going back to listen to the album, it gave me a new outlook on the music. It helped me to fully appreciate the way that MGMT uses a bit of contemporary music in there and also appreciate how they are reaching out to different people. The blogger did a great job at explaining and critiquing this album.
I completely agree with what the blogger has to say.
