When I was young, I can't remember what age I heard the name Harry Potter. I didn't know who people were talking about when they Said "Harry Potter", but he sounded like a cool guy.
I wen and saw the first movie with my best friends Riely. She was obsessed. I think she read the books. Heck, I didn't even know there were books. As I was watching, I was immediately intrigued by their accents, the magic, and the reocurring power the movie had, keeping me on the edge of my seat.
I have never read the books, but I am glad I didn't . Most books I read before movies are much better. So, when i watch the movie I am very disappointed. The books also looked huge! I wasn't much of a reader when I was younger, but now I love to read. The movies did a great job, I heard, from the multiple people who read the books first.
I can't pinpoint an exact scene that was my absolute favorite in Harry Potter. There were different parts about each movie that I liked. One scene I did enjoy was the scene of quittidge in the first movie. I thought it looked like fun and I remember being excited that Harry Potter was able to play in the game.
I also was immediately intrigued by all of the magic that is demonstrated in the Harry Potter series. Although you say you are glad that you never read the books, I disagree. I feel that the books are quite descriptive and paint a beautiful imaginary image in your head unlike anything else.
ReplyDeleteI also find it interesting that you didn't read the books before seeing the movies and are glad because of it. Though, I can completely understand what you mean, I have had perfectly good movies, that I have watched in the past, ruined by the fact that they did not hold up to my expectations of the story after reading the books. With going into the series with a blank slate and all the room in the world for interpretation, it seems as if you have a quite interesting perspective to share on them!
